Ziyafet Askerov: "If Azerbaijan receives an appeal, it might raise its peacekeeping contingent in Afghanistan"

The due announcement was made by first vice speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafet Askerov.

He said touching upon the relations between Azerbaijan and NATO that these relations are on a high level, which satisfies both sides.

"I am also satisfied with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and NATO", Askerov said.

Commenting on possible use of Qabala radar station by Russia and the United States, the first vice speaker of Azerbaijani parliament noted that this issue has not been excluded from the agenda.

"There are differences in the approaches of Russia and the United States, but we have repeatedly stated that we would be glad to assist to energy safety of Europe and Euro-Atlantic area", Askerov said.
