Novruz Mamedov, chief of department for external political ties under Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration, called Armenians' announcements about official Baku's refusal to hold a bilateral meeting in the framework of the NATO summit in Bucharest a diplomatic maneuver and an attempt to mislead the world society.
Day.Az reports with reference to Turan that according to Mamedov Armenia should have explained the reasons of such a meeting.
"Baku considers that such a meeting is primarily intended for consolidation of Armenian President's positions in Armenia. Azerbaijan is always ready for negotiations, which should, however, have a subject and a definite objective", he noted.
