Azerbaijan does not force Armenia to hold talks and the whole negotiation process is a compromise made by Azerbaijan,
The due announcement was made by spokesman for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibragim commenting on the announcement of Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan that if Azerbaijan takes the UN resolution as a basis, Armenia will withdraw from talks.
He noted that no one forces Armenia to maintain the negotiation process.
"Neither internal nor external situation connected with Armenia allows her to make such announcements. The state of emergency and censorship have been applied in Armenia, there are casualties and the political situation is too tense.
On the other hand, the international community has expressed its position by approving the resolution in the UN General Assembly. V.Oskanyan's status is also doubted as we can not state which powers in Armenia have a right to make such announcements", Kh.Ibrahim said.
The spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry noted that instead of making such senseless announcements, Armenia would better think and undertake constructive steps for Azerbaijan to decide how to hold talks with it.
"It should not set any provisions to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is strong enough not to accept the language of provisions. If provisions are set to Azerbaijan, it will take due steps", Kh.Ibrahim said.
