19 March 2008 [10:51] - TODAY.AZ
The Party of Civil Development will not nominate its candidate for presidential elections.
The due announcement was made by party chairman Ali Aliyev.

He said the party made this decision in 2006 and still adheres to it.

"Our political structure has formed not long before, therefore, we are currently working at strengthening regional organizations of the Party of Civil Development. The year of 2010 might become a year of our participation in parliamentary elections.

We do not rule out participation of our party in the municipal elections to be held in 2009.

Two perspective candidates are nominated from the Azadlyg bloc, therefore, we will support them", Aliyev said.

Answering the question, whether the Baku city administration has responded regarding allocation of a site for party's head office, Aliyev said the party has not yet received the response.

"In turn, we also study the situation, collect facts and after we have necessary information, we will file a claim against the city administration", the party chairman said.
