The PACE Monitoring Committee held a meeting in Paris on Tuesday.
Samed Seyidov, head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, who also attended the meeting, told APA that the discussions on Azerbaijan were very constructive.
“Monitoring Committee’s co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Andres Herkel and Eugenia Jivkova, as well as other members of the organization provided information about Azerbaijan. The balance discussions were held over the expected decree of pardon on the occasion of Novruz Holiday, constructive development of relations between Azerbaijan and Venice Commission, as well as media and human rights problems”.
The Monitoring Committee decided to develop discussions in its framework and to arrange general discussions on Azerbaijan in June.
The co-rapporteurs will prepare and submit a preliminary report to the Monitoring Committee.
