Serzh Sarkisyan: "We have suffered losses connected with security of our country and its international image"

"Cruelty has increased within the society and it has split, therefore I reckon on the execution of due works by everyone", a source from the public and media relations department of the Armenian government quoted on Serzh Sarkisyan as saying.

Sarkisyan stressed the need to establish dialogue, argue and explain to those who do not understand, even if they are full of hatred.

According to the Prime Minister, the government members are passive, in particular, in the work with international structures and at the duly presentation of the situation.

"I offer everyone to study materials, received by official channels and presented by state bodies. I assure you that this is true information and you can rely on these facts", the Prime Minister noted.

Sarkisyan announced that the events of which "we were talking about occurred in Armenia, and we were not able to prevent them and this is our fault".

"But today I want to speak not of guilty but of the elimination of consequences of this disaster, as along with casualties, whose number could be higher in case of absence of due measures, we also had material and moral losses, connected with the security of our country and its international image", Sarkisyan explained.

At the same time, he added that the first can be restored easily in the short period of time and in this sense the administration as well as Ministries of Justice and Finance and Economy should react quickly and make due proposals.

Sarkisyan noted that the armed forces managed to prove their being an experienced structure and being able to react to the threat to Armenia's security.

"We have presented the situation in the Concept of national security when many considered that this is just a theory and that such events are unreal. Unfortunately, this has become possible", Sarkisyan announced.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister called on everyone to be active.

"We will be consistent in the punishment of those who are to be blamed for it. I guarantee it to you, this is not a promise but a duty, which I will execute", Serzh Sarkisyan concluded.
