"There was nothing unusual in the recent fighting on the contact front line. ceasefire is constantly violated".

The due announcement was made by famous conflict scientist Arif Yunusov.

He noted that usually clashes intensify in spring, when both sides strive to occupy these or those heights, process of redislocation of positions or improvement of previous ones starts.

"Another issues is that the fighting was too long. The number of casualties was too high, as heavy technique was applied from both sides. It seems that Armenians tried to occupy the nearest heights and attacked Azerbaijani armed forces, therefore, casualties from our side were initially reported.

He said there is no exact information. "Both sides traditionally accuse each other of ceasefire violation. Therefore it is necessary to base on logics and common sense", the conflict scientist said.

He added that the fighting occurred when President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was in that region. "Moreover, the fighting occurred following well-known events in Armenia".

He said if Azerbaijan yields to Armenia's provocations, especially on the front line, the "Karabakh" dynasty will benefit from it.
