"Azerbaijan is Poland's strategic ally and the latter considers assistance to Azerbaijan in the integration with European structures important in its external policy".
Day.Az reports with reference to AzerTaj, that the due announcement was made by President of Poland Lekh Kachinskiy during a press conference in Poland.
He noted that the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must base on the norms of international law.
"Nagorno Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan under the international law and we support this position though we maintain relations with Armenia, as well. We had interesting discussions during which we touched upon different topics. We spoke of energy policy, discussed situation in friendly countries, which are of natural interest for Poland", Kachinskiy noted.
He said he is aware that Azerbaijan has large oil and natural gas reserves.
He announced that it is too important for Poland and they will further develop discussions of this topic with President.
He said Azerbaijan attained freedom in the early 20th century and the people of Azerbaijan have been struggling for sovereignty and independence throughout the history.
