Ali Gasanov: "Speculations around the topic of political prisoners in Azerbaijan are observed again"

The due statement was made by Ali Gasanov, chief of public and political department of Presidential Administration, commenting on the announcement of PACE Co-rapporteur Andres Herkel regarding the including of the issue of political prisoners in Azerbaijan into the agenda.

According to Gasanov, Azerbaijan has entered the jurisdiction of Europe after accession to the European Union and those who do not agree with court decision has a right to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.

"Such appeals do exist nowadays", A.Gasanov noted.
