Azerbaijani side hands over Armenian soldier

Azerbaijani side handed over soldier of Armenian Army Asaturyan Ambarsum Mnakovich who was captured on August 4, 2007 to Armenia on the contact line of troops, Gazakh-Ijevan region, and Azerbaijan-Armenia border at 01:00 p.m. today.

Process of handing over took place in Bala Jafarli village of Gazakh region, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The 23-year Armenian soldier was born in Armavik region of Armenia. Asaturyan who was drafted on May 17, 2007 explained trespassing to Azerbaijan with arbitrariness in the Armenian Army.
