GUAM member-states are trying to obtain the assistance of international organizations in the settlement of the conflicts in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova.
The due statement was made by GUAM Secretary General Valery Chechelashvili upon the completion of talks with officials of the Foreign Ministry.
"The basis of our priorities is obtaining of the assistance of international organizations in the settlement of conflicts in our countries", he said.
Chechelashvili expressed satisfaction with the results of Azerbaijan's chairmanship in GUAM in the first half of the term and announced that during the talks with Foreign Ministry officials he discussed priorities on the second half of the term.
The chairmanship functions in GUAM will be transferred to Georgia at the summit in summer of 2008", Chechelashvili noted.
