According to the EU Special representative on the South Caucasus Peter Semneby, visiting Yerevan, chances to settle Nagorno Garabagh conflict will rise following presidential elections in Armenia.
"We should not lose hope about the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Garabagh conflict. The diplomatic negotiation process is going on, and all measures for the conflict settlement are being taken. I do hope that the presidential elections in Armenia will help draw special attention to this problem", the special representative noted.
At the same time, Peter Semneby noted that the Garabagh conflict has only one solution, which is peaceful. Speaking about the possible application of the Kosovo precedent to Nagorno-Garabagh conflict, the EU special representative announced that the two conflicts have more differences than common features.
"The peaceful negotiations on the Garabagh conflict settlement should continue and focus on the possible solutions of this problem", Peter Semneby said.
