European Court to consider opposition party member Arif Gadjili's claim by late February

It should be reminded that Arif Gadjili filed two claims to the European Court. The first one is connected with his illegal arrest following presidential elections of 2003 and the second one with the failure to recognize his victory at parliamentary elections of 2005.

The plaintiff reported that the communicative work on the consideration of the first appeal is currently under way.

"I do hope that I will get a positive response on the first claim by the end of February. The European Court has not yet initiated the consideration of the second one. Nevertheless, I hope that this case will also be considered by the end of 2008", Arif Gadjili announced.
