Peter Semneby, European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus, will soon visit Azerbaijan again.

He said he plans to visit our country in January and the exact date of the visit has not yet been specified.
Moreover, Peter Semneby has not defined the date of his visit to Nagorno Garabagh.
“The establishment of EU representation in Azerbaijan is about to be completed, but it is not yet known when the representation will be commissioned. I am sure that it will take place soon,” he said.
Peter Semneby said that the name of EU official representative to Azerbaijan is already known, but refused to publicize the name of the envoy.
“The EU representation will implement several projects in the framework of European Neighborhood Policy. These EU projects will be connected with the development of several sectors in Azerbaijan,” he said.
By some diplomatic sources, European Commission Special Envoy to Azerbaijan Alan Waddams nominated his candidacy for the post of EU ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Alan Waddams is expected to be appointed to this post.
