Ilham Aliyev receives special envoy of Jordan king

A.Vureykat communicated congratulations of the Jordan King on occasion of the 15th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Jordan and Azerbaijan, to be marked on February 13 of 2008. He also congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his birthday.

In the framework of the visit, which started today, the special envoy of the Jordan King, will hold a number of other meetings with the officials of the country in Baku.

Abdulla Vureykat paid a visit to Azerbaijan in late October of 2007. The meetings with Ilham Aliyev, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economic Development, Culture and Tourism, Education, and Adviser to the President of Azerbaijan on economic  issues, Ali Asadov.

During the meetings the sides discussed prospects of cooperation between the two countries.

The establishment of the direct flight Amman-Baku was discussed during the meeting with general manager of Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL) Jahangir Askerov.

The new flight is expected to open in January of 2008.
