17 December 2007 [14:02] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan’s proposal to hold the Anniversary Summit of the TRACECA in 2008 has been approved by the member states, as reported by Akif Mustafayev, Head of TRACECA’s Azerbaijani National Secretariat.
According to him, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Abid Sharifov put forward the proposal at the 4th conference of the TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission held in Astana, December 12-13.

“All member states have approved the offer. The Armenian delegation has also agreed with that,” he added.

Mustafayev noted that the agreement of the member states is due to Azerbaijan’s active participation and important role in the TRACECA.

The TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission was established in 1998. With a headquarter in Baku, TRACECA unites 12 European and Asian countries.
