Human Rights Watch executive director to visit Azerbaijan

This is Mr.Ross’s first visit to Caucasus and Baku. The visit aims to debate media situation in Azerbaijan with the government representatives and NGOs, representatives of diplomatic corps.

Mr.Ross will focus on the situation regarding protection of human rights (torture, political prisoners, elections), media situation in Azerbaijan in the framework of the two-day visit in Baku.

He will not visit other South Caucasian countries, he will leave Baku for Germany and meet Foreign Minister of this country Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
