Ex-minister Farhad Aliyev’s trial continues with witnesses’ testimonies

Today trial on criminal case on ex-economic development minister Farhad Aliyev, Rafig Aliyev, former president of Azpetrol Group of Companies and other defendants accused of corruption continued at Court of Grave Crimes.
Witnesses gave testimonies regarding the distribution of vouchers in 2004. 

Former chief of Garadagh department of Economic Development Ministry Fazil Seyidov said that 8000 vouchers were distributed among the people when he was the chief of the local commission.

The witness said that director general of republic Auction Center at the disposal of Economic Development Ministry Agaali Ahmadov ordered to buy 4500 vouchers from the people for $3 and return to the Auction Center. 

Following this, former chief of Masalli department of Economic Development Ministry Jafar Gozalov said that 8,000 vouchers were sent to the region. 7919 of them were distributed and then they were bought from the people and delivered to Ahmadov. Gozalov said that Agaali Ahmadov gave him $18,000 to buy the vouchers from the people. 

Former chief of Gakh department of Economic Development Ministry said that he collected 3800 vouchers and gave to Agaali Ahmadov.  

The process will continue with witnesses’ testimonies in the second half of the day.
