Ex-minister Farhad Aliyev’s trial continues

Trial on criminal case launched on ex-economic development minister Farhad Aliyev, Rafig Aliyev, former president of Azpetrol Group of Companies and other defendants accused of corruption continued at Court of Grave Crimes.
Chief of Economic Development Ministry’s Jalilabad region Galib Khudaverdiyev was interrogated at the trial. He said that he visited director of Republic Auction Center Agaali Ahmadov in 2004. The witness said Ahmadov ordered him to collect vouchers, to give the people $2 for each voucher and $1 for the commission members. 

Khudaverdiyev said he first refused Ahmadov’s proposal, later took $ 22100 from the defendant and gave 7700 vouchers to Agaali Ahmadov. 

Following this, Rafig Aliyev gave testimonies. He said that he was interrogated in National Security Ministry four times. 

The process will continue with Rafig Aliyev’s testimonies in the second half of the day.
