Terry Davis: "Special representative on political prisoners can be appointed to Azerbaijan"

"Special representative on political prisoners in Azerbaijan can be appointed, but this issue is not certain," Council of Europe Secretary General Terry Davis told.

He said that he last debated on the issue on political prisoners with Azerbaijani delegation during the session of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) in April.

Terry Davis added that he was explained that several men regarded as political prisoners can not be released, APA reports.
