80 Azerbaijanis detained in Urmia imprisoned

South Azerbaijan National Awakening Movement (SANAM) Baku bureau told the number of detained in Goshachay was 15.

The detained were sent to Urmia prison on May 24. Rugayya Lisani, spouse of Abbas Lisani, one of the one of the activist for the rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis told 37 of 40 Azerbaijanis detained during the rally in Ardabil on May 22 were released on May 28.

Abbas Lisani's nephew Mehdi Mahammadpur was among the released ones. Vadud Saadati, Asif Ibrahimzada and Mahammad Ahmadi are still in prison, APA reports.
