Azeri embassy in Jordan observes National Day

Azeri Ambassador to Amman Elman Arasli on Monday commended Jordanian-Azeri relations which are progressively developing in various fields due to efforts by the two countries leaderships.

Arasli was speaking at a special function marking his country's National Day.

The function was attended by Royal Court Chief Salem al-Turk, Director General of Jordan News Agency Ramadan Rawashdeh, Director of Protocol at the Foreign Ministry Makram al-Qaisi, head of diplomatic corps in Jordan and other top officials.

Jordan and Azerbaijan signed a cooperation agreement geared to enhance joint investment and increase trade volume.

His Majesty King Abdullah II visited Azerbaijan last year and Azeri President Elham Aliyev will visit Jordan later this year upon an invitation by King Abdullah.

Jordan has opened its embassy in Baku recently with the aim of promoting bilateral relations. Petra
