Chief of Open Society Party Akif Shahbazov presented the party leader Rasul Guliyev's speech and the forum's memorandum to the forum participants.
Rasul Guliyev said that the reports about main opposition in the country are false and it causes separation within the opposition, APA reports.
"There is no use to call a party or an alliance main opposition. If the opposition can not unite in this forum, I do not believe that separate struggle will be efficient," he said.
Following this, establishment of the working group was debated. Chief of Turan information agency Mehman Aliyev, director of peace and Democracy Institute Leyla Yunus underlined the necessity of protecting media outlets close to opposition.
Leyla Yunus said Azerbaijani opposition needs support of international organizations.
Chief of Classical Popular Front Party Mirmahmud Mirelioglu accused some political parties of hypocrisy.
Chief of Azerbaijan National Democrat Party Isgender Hamidov condemned the position of political institutions trusting in international organizations.
"Asking help from international organizations weakens the people’s resistance. The US, OSCE, Council of Europe and other international organizations are to blame for the situation in Azerbaijan. We have to find a national leader and increase people's confidence," he said.
Hamidov was also dissatisfied with some points in the memorandum.
"You deceive people and commit crime. Do not involve us in this crime," he said.
The decision was made to hold the forum once in a month and close debate concerning the establishment of the working group.
