Azerbaijan and Ukraine negotiate for establishing GUAM peacekeeping forces

Azerbaijan and Ukraine have started negotiations over establishment of joint military contingent within GUAM, Ivan Androsenko, head of international department of Ukrainian Defense Ministry told.

He noted the two parties are to negotiate in different levels, and Ministries are working to agree the date of the talks. According to Androsenko, the issue will be settled in two weeks.

Azerbaijani and Ukrainian Defense Ministers Safar Abiyev and Anatoly Gritsenko discussed establishing of joint peacekeeping forces during a meeting at the defense industry fair in Turkey, APA reports.
