Report on the missing in South Caucasus debated at PACE Standing Committee's meeting

Today the report on missing persons in the South Caucasus was debated at the meeting of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) Standing Committee in Belgrade.

Azerbaijani, Georgian and Armenian representatives attended the debate. The member of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Gultakin Hajiyeva represented Azerbaijan.

Rapporteur Leo Platvoet told?that Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives expressed dissatisfaction on some momentums in the report.

Mr.Platvoet said that his calling the parties to unite their efforts and have close cooperation to find the missing persons caused dissatisfaction of Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives. They object to the rapporteur's calling for the parties to refrain from politicizing this humanitarian matter.

As to other participants of the debate, Platvoet said they supported the report and voted for that, APA reports.
