Sergey Lavrov presents Sheikhulislam with Russia's higher prize

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today presented Sheikh of all the Caucasus Haji Allahshukur Pashazade with "Friendship order" in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Sheikh is awarded for his contributions to deepening of friendship and cooperation among the peoples, development of intercultural and interreligious dialogue and maintaining mutual understanding in the Caucasus.

Sheikh expressed gratitude for the award and regarded the order as the award of all religious men of the Caucasus, APA reports.
