Journalists' picket not authorized

Baku Mayor's Office did not sanction journalists' picket for tomorrow, spokesman for Mayor's Office Zaur Ramazanov told.

He said that Sabir garden is not in the list of venues allotted for mass actions and therefore, the picket was not sanctioned.

The organizers said despite the position of Baku Mayor's Office they will picket at 14.00 in Sabir garden.

The participants will demand releasing founder and editor of Gundalik Azerbaijan and Realny Azerbaijan newspapers Eynulla Fetullayev, stopping pressure on media, lifting fines on newspapers and releasing other journalists, APA reports.
