OSCE Chairman-in-Office to visit Azerbaijan and Armenia early June

OSCE Chairman-in-office, Foreign Minister of Spain Miguel Angel Moratinos will visit Azerbaijan and Armenia early in June, 2007.

Moratinos will meet with the presidents of the two countries, Foreign Ministers and other officials.

Issues concerning OSCE's activity (settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, freedom of press, human rights, judicial system, combating corruption, ecological problems in the region) and Spain's relations with both countries will be debated.

Madrid intends to open embassies in Azerbaijan and Armenia by the year-end. APA
