Azerbaijan sends note to Russia

The note protests to introduction of Nagorno Karabakh as an independent state in Great Russian Encyclopedia.

It says that misrepresentation of facts offences Azerbaijani people, contradicts Azerbaijan-Russia relations, has negative influence on Russia's image in Azerbaijan, Russia's role in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict as a mediating country, public opinion both in Russia and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan demands Russia to amend the encyclopedia published in 2006 and confiscate the edition, APA reports.

Azerbaijan has not yet received an official reply to its protest note on Russian channel RTR, which called Nakhchivan as original territory of Armenia.
