Court of Appeal upholds decision on Rizvan Talibov

Azerbaijan Court of Grave Crimes upheld the decision of Sumgayit Court on Rizan Talibov, chief of defense committee for former health minister Ali Insanov's rights, chief of Unity of Returning to Western Azerbaijan, in force.

Talibov's lawyer Telman Novruzzade told the APA that they can raise the issue to commute his arrest with house arrest.

Talibov was arrested on Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) of Criminal Code. Sumgayit Court sentenced Talibov, who is accused of hooliganism against Ilham Sherifov, to two months in jail. Talibov is at present kept in Detention ward #3 in Shuvelan.
