OSP to conclude agreements with some parties

Preliminary consent was received on Open Society Party's (OSP) concluding mutual agreement with Boyuk Gurulush and Justice parties.

OSP administrative personnel's member Yagub Abbasov said that the chief of Justice Party Ilyas Ismayilov and Boyuk Gurulush Party's chief Fazil Gazanfaroglu held meeting on the establishment of cooperation between the parties.

Gazanfaroglu said they have no problems on the cooperation among parties, and proposed to prepare agreement project.

Ismayilov also said that he looks positively at the cooperation among parties. But he said that he will make decision on the issue after the party structures debate on it.

Abbasov said that clauses on the establishment of democratic conditions, joint steps taken in the field of protection of human rights will be reflected in the agreement. He also spoke of the necessity of various parties' preparations to presidential elections scheduled for 2008.

"We want all the opposition parties stated in common position in the elections to be held in 2008 and take all the possible steps together in this direction," he said. APA
