The Latvian Minister will have meetings with Azerbaijani President, Foreign Minister, Prime Minister and other officials, APA reports.
Heads of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businessmen, specialists on banking, woodwork, food industry and information communication technology are accompanying the minister in the visit. They will negotiate with Economic Development Minister and Azerbaijani businessmen. Azerbaijan is expected to be offered several business projects and also project on the development of golf sport in the country. Following this, the representatives of Latvia museums in the composition of the delegation will establish cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Pabriks after finishing his meetings in Baku will visit Ganja and Sheki, Latvian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Popkovs told.
Base-normative agreement on cooperation will also be concluded between Azerbaijani and Latvian Youth and Sport Ministries.
Latvian Embassy in Azerbaijan will be inaugurated today. The opening will be attended by Foreign Ministers of the two countries as well as European Union and NATO ambassadors.
Latvian foreign minister will end the visit in Azerbaijan on April 18.
From 18 to 19 April, Mr Pabriks will visit Georgia and leave for Armenia on 20 April.
