MPs from Musavat Party held a briefing in the Parliament.

Panah Huseyn said that they want to clarify the agiotage around the composition of Azerbaijani delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The parliamentarian said representation of the opposition in the parliament is one of Azerbaijan's commitments.

"Monitoring Committee of the Council of Europe demanded representation of opposition member in the delegation. We did not get any concrete decision, but heard that parliament wants to Iltizam Ekberli's representation in the delegation. Musavat parliamentarians put forward Nasib Nasibli’s candidacy. He has diplomatic experience and knows several foreign languages. It does not mean that we do not trust Iltizam Ekberli," he said.

Iltizam Ekberli said he agrees to the decision of the Musavat assembly. "I want Nasib Nasibli to be represented in the delegation. I regret that not being informed about the decision of the parliament, such agiotage was created around the problem. Only Safa Mirzoyev asked me to nominate my candidacy," he said.

Nasib Nasibli said that all parliamentarians from Musavat can fulfill this mission. Panah Huseyn noted that parliamentarian from Musavat wrote to the Council of Europe with regard to the problem. "We wrote about the events and expressed our regret," he said, APA reports.
