Elchin Behbudov appeals to president for release of MP Huseyn Abdullayev on bail

Elchin Behbudov, chief of Azerbaijani Committee against Torture appealed to President Ilham Aliyev for release of parliamentarian Huseyn Abdullayev who was detained for the incident the parliament and kept in Bayil detention place #1, on bail.

Committee chief told the APA he took this step, taking into account his reports about having health problems, devotion to Ilham Aliyev's political course, innocence and commuting his arrest.

"I asked the president to give instructions to related bodies to commute his arrest and release him on bail, taking into account his good services for president and Heydar Aliyev," he said.
