Daniel Fried: "We hope there will progress in peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict this year"

"Efforts should be made for peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," Daniel Fried, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs said at the meeting with journalists, who arrived in Washington in the framework of the cultural exchange program.

The diplomat said that OSCE Minsk Group has much to do for peaceful solution to the conflict, APA reports.

"OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs US, Russia and France are very active in this field. Their activity aims at helping Azerbaijan and Armenia solve the conflict. We hope that there will be progress in 2007," he said.
