GUAM peacekeeping contingent to be formed

Active measures are taken on the establishment of peacekeeping contingent of GUAM-Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, GUAM Secretary General, Georgian deputy Foreign Minister Valeri Chechelashvili said in an interview to "Novosti-Gruzia" Agency.

He said that GUAM states armed forces general staffs are dealing with this issue.

"The peacekeepers contingent will undoubtedly be formed," he said.

Chechelashvili said that activities are being taken for the establishment of GUAM international police component, APA reports.
