Belarus President to visit Azerbaijan

Belarus government has prepared a special plan of measures on cooperation with Azerbaijan, Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Sidorski said while receiving Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belarus Ali Nagiyev.

The Prime Minister said that he was assigned to prepare program for expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan during Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Minsk.

The program will cover the period by 2015. The plan has already been presented to the Azerbaijani government and will be discussed during Sergei Sidorski's visit to Baku.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated assembling MTZ tractors in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

"I attentively observe rapid development of Azerbaijan's economy. The projects presented by Belarus will contribute to the development of Azerbaijan's economy," he said.

Sergei Sidorski underlined that Azerbaijani President Alexander Lukashenko will visit Azerbaijan in the first term of this year.

Ambassador Ali Nagiyev said that the plan of measures will double the trade turnover between the two countries. He mentioned that the two countries have great potential for energy cooperation.
