President visits Tajikistan

President Ilham Aliyev will start his visit by laying wreath on Ismayil Samani's monument, the founder of Tajik state in the 9th century, APA reports.

Following this, Azerbaijani and Tajikistan presidents will have a one-on-one meeting in the administration of Tajikistan President. The delegations of the two countries will then have a meeting. 11 intergovernmental and interstate documents on different spheres of cooperation will be signed between the two countries.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Tajikistan's President Emomoli Rahmonov will hold a press conference after the signing ceremony.

President Ilham Aliyev will visit ancient historical monuments, museums and participate in the several cultural events March 16.

President Ilham Aliyev is expected to have one-on-one meting with Tajikistan's Prime Minister Akil Akilov. He will later meet with speaker of the Upper House of Tajikistan parliament Mahammadsaid Ubaydullayev and end his official visit after that.

The working group arranging the President's visit to Tajikistan left for Dushanbe on March 11.
