UNICEF Regional Director visits IDP camp in Azerbaijan

The Regional Director concerned herself with the living, health of children, education and general conditions of IDPs living there.

Ms. Calivis told journalists that the conditions of IDPs in Azerbaijan are miserable. She expressed concern over the children suffering from such conditions.

"As UNICEF, we always support peace and condemn children's suffering from conflicts. We'll try to do our best to remove the difficulties children meet with," she said.

Ms. Calivis denounced any violence against children, APA reports.

"I have already declared that I always denounce violence against children in any case. The aim of UNICEF is to protect children in such cases," she said.
