Witnesses give testimony in Ali Insanov's trial

Trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued in the second part of the day at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

The sitting is presided over by Judge Faig Gasimov, APA reports.

Elnur Jabbarov gave testimony as the witness in the court saying that he had appealed to Health Ministry to get license to open in Shaki. He noted that he gave $1500 to Eldar Rzayev, the official of the ministry, to get license.

"Some days later Eldar Rzayev called me and said that license is ready. After signing the documents in Akif Maharramov's room, I took the documents. I have not got acquainted with Ali Insanov closely within this period," the witness said.

Witness Igbal Azimzadeh said that he gave 5m AZM to Maharramov to get license.

The founder of "Sherur" company Isfendiyar Akhundov said he bought land area in 77, Topchubashov street, from Insanov's nephew Anar Namazov and began to construction works in the area.
