Ceremony held on occasion of 15th anniversary of Interior troops

The meeting at the Main Office of Interior Troops were attended by Interior Minister Ramil Usubov, President's assistant for military and security issues Vahid Aliyev, the head of the State Border Service Elchin Guliyev, military prosecutor Khanlar Aliyev and other state and government officials, APA reports.

Commander of Azerbaijani Interior Troops Zakir Hasanov informed attendees about fighting history of Interior Troops. He emphasized the Interior Troops' contribution to the public security and stability.

Interior Minister Ramil Usubov talked about 15-year activity of Interior Troops. He also said that Interior Troops were developed in the way to meet the NATO standards.

At the end a group of Interior troops' officers were awarded medals and orders for distinction in service and some of them were promoted to high military ranks earlier.
