Azerbaijan will host the first-ever forum of Azerbaijan and Turkey's Diaspora organizations on Friday.

It will bring together 450 delegates from 48 countries.

Taking part in the forum will be Azerbaijani President Ilkham Aliyev, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mehmet Ali Talat.

The state committee on affairs of the Azerbaijani Diaspora said the forum is aimed at boosting activities and pooling efforts of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas to make the international community aware of the history, modern life, social-economic development and culture of the Turkic people.

Delegates are expected to focus on the development of strategic partnership between the Turkic states and deeper cooperation in Diaspora-building.

They will set up a coordinating council of the Azerbaijani and Turkish diasporas, outline a joint strategy and adopt the Baku declaration. Itar-Tass
