Omb receives head of OSCE Office

Elmira Suleymanova congratulated the head of the Office on his new appointment and said that this organization is influential in Europe, bases on democratic principles and plays an important role in ensuring defense of human rights.

Omb also noted that Azerbaijan fulfills its commitments on defense of human rights and it is ensured by the government.

Suleymanova informed the guest of the activity of ombudsman's office in the sphere of human rights.

Ansola expressed his gratitude to the ombudsman for sincere welcoming and underlined that being an ombudsman is a responsible task and noted that their activity in the sphere of human rights is very productive and the organizations he represents is interested in cooperation with Ombudsman.

Freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, right to vote, gender equality, fair trial, national and religious tolerance as well as cooperation with NGOs, civil society and media were discussed at the meeting. APA
