AMID begins talks to form new opposition alliance

Several opposition parties have begun talks to form a new alliance.

Azerbaijani National Independence Party (AMIP) leader Ayaz Rustemov told APA he cannot answer the question on when the alliance will be formed.

It will depend on the results of talks. We don’t want to name the parties as negotiations are on the first stage now, he said. He noted that they also lead talks with Musavat Party.

Musavat Party Central Executive Board chief Arif Hadjili told APA that opposition parties hold regular meetings on cooperation and integration the parties. But there was no talk with AMIP, he said.
