The Ambassador, finishing his mission March 2, didn't rule out his visits to Azerbaijan.
"I worked Iranian deputy ambassador in 1997-2000. I have been ambassador to Azerbaijan since September, 2004. But health problems don't let me continue this hard mission. That's why I have decided to end the diplomatic mission. I love Azerbaijan as a brotherhood country and respect independence and territorial integrity of the country. I wish Azerbaijan's occupied lands to be liberated and we all participate in restoration process," he said.
Stating Azerbaijani-Iranian relations are in high level, Suleymani noted that annual trade turnover between the countries increased by 30 percent during last year.
"Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev is expected to make a visit to Iran in April. Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov has invited his Iranian counterpart to Azerbaijan. I consider Azerbaijan's development as Iran's development, Azerbaijan's security as Iran’s security," he underscored.
The Ambassador stated he is against both Iranian and Turkish chauvinism, APA reports.
"I am against calling Azerbaijan as "Northern Azerbaijan" in Iran and statements like united Azerbaijan here. Such radical approaches are against our peoples," he noted.
