Afshar Suleymani appeals to Iranian government for calling him back

Iranian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Afshar Suleymani will soon end his diplomatic mission, the Embassy press secretary Majid Feyzollahi stated.

The Ambassador underwent serious surgery on his heart last year, and doctors advised him to avoid hard work. Taking into account Afshar Suleymani’s appeal, Iranian government dismissed him earlier.

The new Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan is already known. Iranian Consul General to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Nasir Hamdi Saridi will be the new ambassador to Azerbaijan.

Afshar Suleymani took up his position as Ambassador to Azerbaijan in September 2004, APA reports.
