Azeri-Czech Society to mark Khojali genocide anniversary

Azeri-Czech Society will organize a range of commemorative events on the 15th anniversary of Khojali genocide beginning from February 25.

The events will be held in the settlement of Lidice, Czechia. The aim of the events is to inform people of Czechia and politicians of Khojali genocide.

The events will be held according to the agreement signed between the chairman of Azeri-Czech Society Elshen Nazarov and Lidice Memorial Complex leadership.

They will demonstrate photo galleries, scientific seminars, and documentary films, hold discussions, distribute books, booklets and CDs on Khojali genocide. 613 candles will be lighted in honor of Khojali and Lidice martyrs.

Deputy Head of Khojali Executive Power Vahid Aliyev, MP Jale Aliyeva, singers Malakkhanim Eyyubova and Agakhan Abdullayev, Chief of the Artists' Union Farhad Khalilov, Azerbaijani ambassador to Vienna Fuad Ismayilov, representatives of Czechia Foreign and Culture Ministries will participate in the events.

The range of commemorative events will be over on February 27. APA
