Turkish Army top official: "The Caucasus is potential dangerous region"

Army General in his speech noted that Turkey has not faced so great risk, threats and dangers since 1923.

"We have Iraq problem on our borders. This country is itself a problem and its north is another problem. There exists a terrorist organization in the north of the country. Today no-one can deny that Iraq is facing the danger of separation. Besides, Turkey has Cyprus problem. The Caucasus is potential dangerous region; we do not know what would happen tomorrow. Iran is also dangerous region. Turkey has not faced so many problems in its history,” Mr. Boyukanit said.

Notwithstanding all these Mr. Boyukanit said that Turkey is a powerful country.

"There're some fears that Turkey might be separated. We should put an end to these fears. Who can separate Turkey? There is no power to do it," he said.

The General declared that no-one will dare to separate Turkey which is a democratic and secular country.

Commenting on the so-called Armenian resolution, Buyukanit said that he believes that clever figures in the US will refrain from harming Turkey, APA reports.
