Emma Udwin: "European Union is ready to assist peaceful solution to conflicts in neighbouring states"

"To help ensure stability in the neighbouring states is our duty," said Emma Udwin, spokeswoman for EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero Waldner.

She also took a stance on Moscow's demand from the CE to stop interference with the settlement of 'frozen conflicts' in Post Soviet countries.

"These countries are close to the CE. We are ready to create necessary conditions for peaceful solution to the conflicts in neighbouring states," she told the APA.
