Deputy Assistant U.S. Secretary of State: "US recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity"

"The United States recognizes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The clue to the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is peaceful settlement. I hear these words from Azerbaijani government as well," Colleen Graffy, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs U.S. Department of State stated at the meeting in State Management Academy at Azerbaijani President's Office.

Touching upon Armenia's decision to erect a monument in Yerevan in honor of Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani region of Shusha, Ms. Graffy stressed that it is not necessary to attach great importance to this issue.

"We should very carefully focus on peaceful settlement of conflicts. We should concentrate on peaceful settlement of the problem not on some incidents," she said, APA reports.
